Meghan Carye, artistic director & cello

Meghan is an active cellist and music educator in the Greater Boston Area.  She began her musical training at New England Conservatory and holds a Bachelor of Music and a Graduate Performance Diploma in cello performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music.  She has performed extensively throughout North America, Europe and Israel and is a founding member and cellist of the Illyrian Chamber Players.  She served as the Assistant Director and Chamber Music Coordinator for NEC's Festival Youth Orchestra 2001 - 2012 and was named Program Director in 2013. She is highly involved with the NEC's Preparatory/Summer School coaching orchestral sectionals, presenting masterclasses and frequently adjudicating auditions and in the fall of 2012 she joined NEC's School of Continuing Education faculty as Chamber Music Coordinator and coach.  She is currently on the faculty at NEC's Preparatory School, Tufts University's Community Music Program, Belmont Hill School, Belmont Day School, St. Marks School and The Lincoln Public Schools.  A former faculty member at Powers Music School, Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra's Intensive Community Program, Marblehead Public Schools & Gann Academy.  She founded Common Time Music Studio in 2005.

Ross Monroe Winter, violin (summer workshop)

Ross is currently a member of the Richmond Symphony, a substitute with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, artist-faculty at the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival and Academy.  He is a frequent guest lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University and a founding member of the Atlantic Chamber Ensemble: ensemble-in-residence at WCVE Public Radio.  He has previously been a member of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Philharmonic.  His most notable student has been Robert Downey, Jr. for Warner Brother's feature film Sherlock Holmes.  Ross received his B.M from New England Conservatory of Music and his M.M from State University of New York Purchase Conservatory.  Violin Studies with Boston Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster - Malcolm Lowe, Laurie Smukler, Sylvia Rosenberg and Philip Setzer of the Emerson String Quartet.


Renata Steve, violin & viola

Renata has performed with such ensembles as the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Mark Morris Dance Group, Boston Lyric Opera, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and Waterbury (CT) Symphony Orchestra.  She has also appeared with the Tim Janis Ensemble, on a North American tour with the Phil Coulter Irish Orchestra and throughout China and Korea with the Philharmonia Orchestra of Yale.  A native of Columbus, OH, Renata received her Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Boston Conservatory in May 2003 and her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance with a minor in French from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN in May 2001.  At New England Conservatory, Renata has served on the faculty of the Festival Youth Orchestra and as a coach in the preparatory school since 2003.
